We are always looking for a loving pair of hands to help us continue to rescue homeless animals. The following are ways in which you can help:
Foster a Dog or Cat
Foster homes are critical to the mission of Lost Dog and Cat Rescue Foundation. We seek to place dogs and cats who are not quickly adopted or who need some extra TLC
into loving, responsible foster homes so that they can become ready for adoption. Often, all these dogs and cats need is someone to spend a little time with them and to advocate
for them at adoption events. If you are able to make the committment to guide a dog or a cat (or a litter of puppies or kittens) into a forever home, please see our
Foster section in You Can Help.
Adoption Fair Workers
Your time on weekends helping us with our pet adoption days will enable us to show more dogs and cats, increasing their chances of being adopted. Volunteers between the ages of 14 -16 must be accompanied by an adult.
Pet Taxi
If you would like to help transport dogs or cats from our ranch, our fosters, or owners, please let us know.
Fundraising
We are always in need of help in the fundraising department. If you have experience as a fundraiser for nonprofit organizations, we can use your help. If you would like to organize a fundraising event, we would love your help. Any and all ideas are welcome. We also need help with flyer circulation announcing special events -- posting them and keeping them current. Additionally, we like to put up flyers at veterinary clinics and pet stores featuring current adoptable dogs and cats.
Professionals
We need help with printing, publications, and editing. We are also in need, occasionally, of expert advice in legal matters and contracts.
Grant Writing
We are looking for someone experienced in the grant writing area of fundraising. Currently, most of our funds come from private donations from caring individuals and our adoption fee donations.
If you are interested in volunteering, please fill out our on line Volunteer Questionnaire or contact us at volunteer@lostdogrescue.org and one of our volunteers will contact you as soon as possible.
